Welcome to the El Cerrito Committee for Responsible Government (ECCfRG) Forum, Email list, and Wiki.
The committee was formed by El Cerrito residents seeking to promote a responsible, sustainable, and transparent city government. A primary objective is to create a strategic structure to successfully make the City of El Cerrito exercise its fiduciary responsibilities to El Cerrito residents. ECCfGR is not a government agency.
Currently we are focused on the El Cerrito's financial crisis as presented by the California State Auditor's Report .
January 11, 2020 was the committee's first meeting. Fifteen people attended the informative and productive meeting at the Kensington Library. Thanks to Cathy, Aylin, Rose, and Judith for making this a reality.
At this meeting, people shared their knowledge about the city's financial crisis and related matters. We also prepared questions for the City to answer at the February 1, 2020 Town Hall Meeting. Questions were sent to the City in advance of the Town Hall; yet, individual residents are encouraged to send in their own questions for the city council and mayor as well.
Large threads will have multiple pages. The Wiki is in the same format as Wikipedia and will have additional pages. We envision a future FAQ, a link/resource page, etc. Please visit the message, files, calendar, WIKI and photos sections.
